If you’d like to discuss your situation and explore your options, I’d love to talk to you. You’re always welcome to call me at (618) 812-0812, and if I’m available we can talk right then and there. There’s never any fee for an initial conversation.
I think it’s usually best for our first conversation to be on the phone. Occasionally I can tell after just a few questions that I won’t be able to help someone, and I’d hate for you to come all the way to my office just to hear that.
Zoom is another option if you’d rather talk face-to-face, or if you have documents you’d like me to look at while we talk.
To book an appointment now, just choose phone or Zoom, then use the calendar to check my availability and pick a time that works for you.
If you need an evening appointment, call or shoot me an email at judy@friendlyneighborhoodlaw.com and we’ll figure something out.
In-person consultations
We can also meet in person at my office in downtown Alton. Because I’m a solo practitioner and sometimes in court or working away from the office, please email me or call (618) 812-0812 to arrange an in-person appointment. Please don’t stop by without an appointment; if I’m not there, the building receptionist won’t be able to meet with you, accept documents for me, or schedule an appointment on my behalf.
Preparing for your meeting
You don’t have to study or memorize anything before we talk. If you’re considering bankruptcy, though, it’s helpful to have some general information about your debts and property. For example, I might ask you for your total amount of credit card debt, how much you still owe on your car, or how much you paid for your house. I may also ask about things like the specific model or trim package of your car (LX, SX, etc.).
I’m looking forward to meeting you!
